At Impact mentoring, we are looking for an inspiring and committed Youth Mentor with Area Lead Responsibilities to join our supportive and growing team. This is a rewarding opportunity to help shape positive futures, working with learners from Key Stage 2 onwards in a role that blends mentoring, personal development, and practical learning.

Please note: a full clean driving licence and access to a car are essential.

We have 3 Area Lead positions available: Kitchen | Allotment | Workshop/Construction Lead
This is a varied and meaningful role where you will support young people through mentoring and practical educational experiences, while also taking responsibility for leading a vocational area. You will help ensure the space is welcoming, well cared for, and used effectively as a tool for learning, personal growth, and engagement.
You will help create opportunities for learners to develop skills linked to ASDANs, occupational studies, and wider life preparation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building positive and supportive relationships with young people.
- Encouraging engagement, personal growth and self-belief.
- Supporting learners from Key Stage 2 onwards to work towards their goals.
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment.
- Promoting positive choices and celebrating achievement.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and families.
· Lead your designated area to ensure it is safe, well organised, and ready to support purposeful learning every day.
· Help colleagues use the area effectively as a learning environment that supports growth, engagement, and achievement.
· Encourage young people to develop practical, social, and emotional skills through hands-on activities linked to ASDANs and occupational studies.
