Position: Cover Security Guard
Location: Central Belt, Scotland
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Shifts: Flexible (Days & Nights)
About the Role
Palmaris Services is seeking a reliable and professional Cover Security Guard to join our team, providing support across multiple client sites throughout the Central Belt of Scotland.
This is a flexible, mobile role requiring availability for both day and night shifts, often at short notice. Candidates must be available to work across all 7 days of the week to meet the demands of this cover position.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong and visible security presence across assigned sites
- Conduct regular site patrols and monitor premises
- Control access and egress of personnel and visitors
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents and emergencies
- Complete accurate reports, logs, and documentation
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
Driving & Mobility Requirements
As this is a mobile cover role, travel between different client sites is essential.
- A full UK driving licence is preferred
- Access to your own vehicle is highly desirable
- Must be willing and able to travel at short notice
Requirements
- Valid SIA Licence (essential)
- Must be available to work 7 days per week, including days, nights, and weekends
- Flexibility to cover shifts with short notice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous security experience is desirable
Experience
Candidates should ideally have prior experience within the security industry, including roles such as static guarding.
Experience in:
- Dealing with members of the public
- Managing incidents and conflict situations
- Following site-specific procedures
