Driver Hire Southampton is currently recruiting for a growing business supporting a Southern Water contract. We are seeking reliable and flexible van drivers to provide emergency cover on a 24/7 basis, including days, nights, and weekends. This is a varied, fast-paced role involving short-notice response work to support essential water outage operations.
About the role:
- Ad hoc work, available Monday to Sunday
- 24/7 coverage required (days and nights)
- 12-hour shifts
- Up to 100 drops per day delivering bottled water supplies to care homes and residential areas
- Deliveries covering the South and West of England
What we’re looking for:
- Own transport to commute to and from the depot is essential
- Must be over 21 due to insurance requirements
- Physically fit, as heavy lifting of water packs is involved
- Confident and comfortable using in-house app/PDA systems
- Flexible and able to respond to emergency call-outs at short notice, arriving at the depot promptly

Pay: £12.75-£17.05 per hour
