What the role entails
As a Professional Fundraiser for Charity Nest, your primary role will be to raise funds through one-time cash and card donations at pre-approved fundraising venues. Specifically, this will include:
- Participating in ongoing training and liaising with team members to ensure that you are well-informed about the Charity that you are representing, and have the necessary tools at your disposal to successfully raise awareness and solicit donations.
- Commuting to assigned fundraising venues (e.g. supermarkets, stadiums, transport stations) within a reasonable travel distance, that have been booked in advance by our campaign management team.
- Engaging with the public at assigned venues to raise awareness about the charity that you are representing and inspiring people to make one-time cash and card donations which will help to sustain the charity’s ongoing services and initiatives.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, personable, and self-motivated. Previous fundraising experience would be beneficial, but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided to all candidates. Specifically, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passionate about making a positive difference
- Reliable, resilient, and success-driven
- Willing to travel between 30-90 minutes daily
- Friendly, well-presented, and polite

Our mission is to create a positive impact within the small charity sector through providing the necessary resources to those small charities that deliver critical, and in many cases even life-saving, impact. We currently support a variety of Charity Partners across a range of different causes, including mental health, suicide prevention, and rehabilitation for veterans. As we grow and develop, we will endeavour to support even more charities that address other important causes, scaling the positive impact that we can have. Upon joining Charity Nest, we will learn more about you and your individual passions, which will enable us to place you with a Charity Partner that is aligned with your personal motives.
From there, we will teach you all about your assigned charity and the brilliant work that they deliver in their communities so that you can further their mission and champion the cause as part of your new role.
