Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, with the ability to manage and communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. This role is essential in creating a nurturing environment that promotes the development and well-being of children in our nursery setting. Childcare as part of the package. WILL NEED A LEVEL 3 IN CHILDCARE. (TERM-TIME CONTRACT CAN BE OFFERED) ALSO NOTE WE ARE A PRIVATE DAY NURSERY, 7.30 -6.
Duties
- Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, tailored to the individual needs of each child.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
- Manage daily nursery routines, including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and progress in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive team environment that supports the nursery's goals.
- Drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences and foster a love for learning.
- Demonstrate leadership skills by mentoring junior staff and supporting their professional development.
Requirements
- A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential, r LEVEL 3.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and organised approach.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development is crucial.
- Teamwork and collaboration with other staff members.
- A valid driving licence would be an advantage.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
