We are seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Manager (m/f/d) to lead our logistics strategy and oversee the efficient movement of goods across our expanding network.
This is more than a management role. You will be responsible for shaping logistics operations, improving performance standards, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Operations Leadership:
Manage end-to-end logistics activities including transportation, warehousing, inventory movement, and distribution planning.
Performance Optimization:
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance service levels through data-driven decision making.
Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop logistics supervisors and operational teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Supplier and Carrier Management:
Build strong relationships with transportation providers, warehouse partners, and key vendors to ensure consistent service quality.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure all logistics operations comply with relevant UK regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with procurement, customer service, operations, and executive leadership teams to align logistics strategies with business objectives.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
Minimum 6+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or distribution management, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership position.
Operational Expertise:
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, transportation management, inventory control, and supply chain optimization.
Leadership Skills:
Proven ability to lead multi-functional teams, manage performance, and drive operational improvements across complex logistics environments.
Technical Knowledge:
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms, and logistics reporting tools.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, suppliers, and operational teams.
Mindset:
A proactive and results-driven leader who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day operational execution while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Pay: £5,000.00-£6,700.00 per month
