The Supply Room is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable KS3/4 Lead therapeutic Teaching Assistant to work in a Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) specialist school in Camberwell South East London. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to supporting students with complex needs and want to make a positive, meaningful impact through high-quality, therapeutic teaching.
Individuals with experience in therapeutic teaching, such as LEGO-based therapy, Trauma- informed play/art therapy and Sensory Integration lessons.

Availability: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Day Rate: £105 per day (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery: Delivering pre-assigned/ tailored lesson plans that meet the diverse academic and emotional needs of KS3 and KS4 pupils.
- Differentiation: Adapting the curriculum to engage students with additional emotional and/or behavioural challenges, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
- Collaboration: Working closely with support staff and therapists to provide a nurturing, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
- Assessment: Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback that encourages both academic achievement and personal development.
- Communication: Maintaining professional and effective communication with pupils, parents, and the wider school leadership team.
Essential Criteria
- Degree in related field or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience: Proven experience teaching children with SEMH or SEN requirements.
- Full-time availability (Monday to Friday) with no notice period (or maximum one week).
- DBS: Must have (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service and a valid right to work in the UK.
