We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team.
MUT HAVE EXPERIANCE OF PALLET DELIVERIES/CURTAIN SIDED LORRY AND TAIL LIFT
MUST HAVE CPC AND DIGI CARD The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role is essential in maintaining our high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
£15 p/h paid breaks
Average week is 50/55 hours
Duties
- Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the delivery of goods to various locations.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, including the use of flatbed vehicles when required.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any issues as necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety on the roads at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients professionally.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient logistics and timely dispatch of goods.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with a background in commercial driving.
- Familiarity with flatbed vehicles is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet delivery deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with customers and team members.
- A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for operating a 7.5 tonne vehicle is essential.
