Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant – Consistent Shifts & Great Pay
Location: Burnham-on-Sea
Pay Rate: £13.00 - £14.00/hr (boosted to £14.80 - £15.50/hr with holiday pay factored in!)
Are you a compassionate caregiver/ Support Worker looking for consistent, reliable weekly work? We are looking for dedicated Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Burnham-on-Sea.
You’ll be supporting wonderful adults with learning disabilities who have a range of care need. It’s a highly rewarding role focused on promoting independence, helping with daily routines, and simply being a supportive, friendly presence in their lives.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and daily routines in accordance with care plans
- Administer medication as directed and maintain accurate records
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Help clients participate in social activities and outings, including driving when required
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients at all times
- Follow organisational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
About you
- Previous experience working in a Care Home, Supported Living, Children's Services, or Community Care is needed
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of clients
- Must be a drive
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and updating care plans
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards clients of all backgrounds
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt to individual client needs
