Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ironing professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring garments and linens are impeccably pressed, presenting a polished and professional appearance. Duties
- Iron and press a variety of fabrics, including linens, uniforms, and guest clothing, ensuring they meet quality standards
- Operate ironing equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and functionality of tools
- Sort items according to type, fabric, colour, and required treatment before ironing
- Inspect garments for defects or stains and notify management if necessary
- Fold or hang items appropriately after pressing to prepare for delivery or storage
- Maintain a tidy work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Assist with additional laundry or housekeeping tasks as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality laundry services is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to handle delicate fabrics with care and precision
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under time constraints
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards customer service and teamwork
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks effectively
This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to maintaining high standards of presentation. Experience within the hotel industry will be considered an advantage.
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
