Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Head Dental Receptionist to oversee the front office operations of our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the reception team, ensuring smooth patient flow, and maintaining excellent customer service standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, administrative expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of dental practice management. The Head Dental Receptionist will play a vital role in supporting the overall efficiency and professionalism of our dental team.
Duties
- Supervise and lead the reception team, providing training and guidance to ensure high-quality patient service
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
- Oversee financial transactions, including billing, payments, and insurance claims processing.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations
- Coordinate with dental practitioners to facilitate smooth daily operations
- Ensure the reception area remains professional, welcoming, and organised at all times
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a healthcare or dental setting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with dental practice management software and administrative systems
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations diplomatically
- Building rapport and patient trust.
