1:1 SEN Tutor - Key Stage 2 & 3 | Newton Aycliffe
Prospero Teaching is expanding its specialist support across Newton Aycliffe and the wider County Durham area, providing tailored one-to-one SEN tuition for pupils who are currently unable to access mainstream education. Working closely with local authorities, SEND teams, and educational partners, we are committed to ensuring every learner receives the personalised support they need.
We are currently recruiting experienced SEN Tutors with a background in supporting Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 learners who present with a range of needs, including SEMH, ASC, and additional learning difficulties.
What the Role Involves
You will be responsible for planning and delivering bespoke, individual tuition sessions aimed at re-engaging learners with education, building confidence, and developing essential skills in English and Maths.
Sessions are delivered in person and may take place in community settings, alternative provisions, or within the learner's home environment.
Position Details

Pay: up to £30 per hour (DOE)
- Hours: up to 15 per week per student
- Location: Newton Aycliffe
- Access to CPD training and learning resources
Your Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging 1:1 lessons tailored to individual needs
- Support students' academic and emotional development
- Track progress and provide feedback to parents and professionals
- Complete basic attendance and progress reports
Requirements

Experience teaching or tutoring SEN learners (KS2 or KS3)

Right to work in the UK
