We have an exciting new opportunity for a Healthcare Support Worker development role, starting at band 2. With the support of the Clinical Bank Team, you will be able to develop into an experienced Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker. During this process you will support our teams deliver fantastic care to our service users, helping to ensure our service users receive the very best service possible. Whether you are helping to undertake observations, supporting service users with their personal care, engaging with service users when they are distressed, worried, depressed or agitated you will see first-hand the impact your role makes every minute you are working.
We in turn can offer you a clear pathway to complete all statutory and mandatory training and the care certificate. We will provide you with regular support and supervision from an assigned mentor to help you achieve the band 3 Healthcare Support Worker role within 12 months.
Our hospitals and teams don't close, so as you would expect, we do work on a shift basis. Our service users need our care and attention 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Our expectation is that you attend paid training, complete an induction programme, attend regular 1:1 supervision arranged with your mentor. Also attend Peer Group Supervision on the following dates 12/10/2026, 03/12/2026, 09/02/2027, 07/04/2027, 04/06/2027 and 05/08/2027. Complete the care Certificate and developmental Programme within one year.
