We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our dental practice as a Trainee Dental Nurse. Duties
- Assisting dentists during various dental procedures by preparing and sterilising instruments and materials
- Supporting patients before, during, and after treatment to ensure their comfort and understanding
- Maintaining high standards of infection control and hygiene within the practice
- Managing appointment schedules and ensuring accurate record keeping using IT systems
- Providing clear communication to patients regarding treatment plans and post-treatment care instructions
- Supporting administrative tasks such as organising supplies and maintaining clinical areas in an organised manner
- Observing and learning about dental procedures, patient care techniques, and practice protocols under supervision
Requirements
- Basic understanding of patient care principles and a genuine interest in healthcare and nursing
- Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Strong IT skills for maintaining records, scheduling appointments, and using practice management software
- Effective communication skills to provide reassurance and clear information to patients of all ages
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills in a professional setting
- Previous experience in nursing or healthcare is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for all duties involved
Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
