Dental Receptionist / Dental Nurse Reception Roles – Private Practice

We are a well-established, private dental practice seeking warm, professional, and highly organised individuals to join our friendly team.
We are a calm, patient-focused practice with a strong emphasis on preventive dentistry, nervous patient care, and creating a structured, respectful working environment where both patients and staff feel supported.
We are recruiting for both full-time and part-time positions depending on experience and role type. Part-time opportunities (3–4 days per week) are available for Dental Receptionists, with the potential for full-time progression for candidates seeking increased hours in the future.

Option 1 – Dental Receptionist (Part-Time)
4-5 days per week
A dedicated front-of-house role for an experienced dental receptionist who enjoys organisation, patient communication, and a calm, structured environment.
Option 2 – Dental Nurse / Reception Role (Full-Time)
5 days per week
A varied role for an experienced dental nurse who enjoys both clinical and front-of-house work, for example:
- A mixture of days at reception and dental nursing (depending on practice needs and strengths)
This allows flexibility within the team while supporting both clinical and administrative flow.
- Previous experience in a UK dental practice (reception or nursing)
- Calm, professional and patient-focused approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident handling appointments, patient queries, and daily workflows
- Reliable, organised, and able to manage responsibility independently
- Comfortable working within a structured clinical environment
- Experience with R4 dental software (preferred)
- Strong telephone and customer service skills
- Ability to stay calm and efficient in a busy environment
- Good written and verbal communication
- Confidence handling appointments, payments, and patient records
- Supportive, calm, and respectful working environment

We operate a thoughtfully structured working pattern designed to support a calm, organised, and high-quality clinical environment, alongside genuine work–life balance.
Total contracted hours: 30hrs 30min
Mon 12.45-5.15 = 4hrs 30min
Tues 8.45-1 & 2-5.15pm = 7hrs 30min
Wednesdays 8.45-2.15pm= 5hrs 30min
Thu 8.45-1 & 2-5.15pm = 7hrs 30min
Fri 8.45-2.15pm= 5hrs 30min
We ask team members to be punctual and ready at the start of their paid time to begin preparation and set-up, ensuring the clinical day starts in a calm and organised way, with a brief moment to enjoy a coffee and settle in before the day begins.

£13 / £13.50 – £15.00 per hour
