Overview
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Joiners to join our construction team. The successful candidates will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden structures and components on-site. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential roofing to bespoke carpentry, in a dynamic and professional environment. Applicants must have a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work safely and efficiently within a team. All positions are paid, including internship opportunities for those looking to develop their skills in joinery and construction.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble timber structures using hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment
- Install bespoke wooden fixtures such as doors, windows, staircases, and roofing components
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise execution of projects
- Carry out carpentry tasks including cutting, shaping, fitting, and finishing woodwork
- Assist with construction painting, masonry work, plumbing, electrical tasks, or roofing as required
- Perform heavy lifting of materials safely to support construction activities
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to adhere to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with other trades such as electricians or masons to complete projects efficiently
- Ensure all work complies with building regulations and safety protocols
Skills
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers
- Competence in operating power tools including drills, sanders, and saws
- Knowledge of roofing techniques and construction painting is desirable
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Basic understanding of plumbing, masonry, or electrical systems is advantageous but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different project requirements
Candidates should be physically fit with the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. A valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory. All applicants must demonstrate a commitment to safety standards and quality craftsmanship.
Pay: Up to £25.00 per hour
