About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, hard-working, can-do attitude with initiative and drive. We are a busy team, but independence and initiative are valued highly. We are looking for someone to see what needs to be done and complete tasks with no prompts, especially when looking after a section of tables.
The role involves table service, including:
- Greeting customers
- Taking orders accurately at the tableside
- Excellent knowledge of hygiene and allergen procedures
- Use of a till
- Delivery of food items to the table
- Menu knowledge
Plus other FOH duties, such as:
- Cleaning
- Stock rotation
- Working in a team
- Light pot washing duties
Shifts (14hrs per week, less breaks)
- Saturdays: 1pm-8pm (to include bottomless brunch service from 4pm-6pm)
- Sundays: 10am-5pm
Requirements
Our weekend front of house team delivers exceptional customer service during our busiest service periods. We are looking for an experienced server to join our team and deliver that same high standard of service.
REQUIRED:
- 18+ due to the sale of alcohol.
- Table service experience in a restaurant (or similar).
- Friendly and reliable.
- Committed to working on both weekend days, every week.
- Able to work confidently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Able to be on feet for long periods of time. Ugly Mug spans 3 floors, so many trips up and down stairs all day.
DESIRABLE:
- Flexibility to cover occasional weekday shifts.
About the Company
Ugly Mug is an independent bistro in Wellingborough town centre, open 7 days a week.
We serve coffee, cake, breakfast and lunch daily, plus afternoon teas, bottomless brunch, evenings, tapas, cocktails and private events.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
