Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team for full time/part time/ bank role. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in accordance with nursing standards and assist in creating a positive patient experience.
What does the role involve?
- Achieve a high standard of care.
- Leading the care team to deliver outcomes for the people that we support
- Maintain effective communications, both verbal and written, making accurate reports on residents and inform other members of the senior care team of day-to-day changes.
- Ensure that care procedures are carried out according to policy.
- Be responsible for the ordering, administration and recording of medicines according to policy and statutory requirements.
- Provide appropriate personal care for residents e.g., washing and dressing and toileting
- Provide physical, emotional and spiritual comfort.
- Assessment of perspective clients/residents.
- Participate fully in the training and development of all grades of staff.
- Produce, implement, and review resident care plans, ensuring any changes are communicated to team members
- Promote and comply with the clinical governance framework, including participation Maintain skills and knowledge to ensure care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice
- Create a caring and supportive environment in which residents can reach their full potential both physically and mentally
- Ensure own and, when appropriate, other’s actions reduce risks to health and safety
- Undertake any other duties as required from time to time.
Your qualities
- Registered Nurse qualification with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration
- Proven experience in anatomy knowledge, medication administration, and patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate and empathetic patient care

About The Home:
Joseph Lodge is a welcoming care home supporting older people, including those living with dementia, in a peaceful rural setting near Southend with excellent transport links. The home offers 39 en-suite bedrooms across two floors (with lift access), alongside spacious lounges and comfortable communal areas designed to promote a homely and engaging environment.
We are proud to have recently received nursing registration from the CQC, and are now expanding our clinical services. This is an exciting time to join Joseph Lodge as we grow our nursing team and continue to enhance the quality of care we provide to our residents.
