We are currently seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver with HIAB experience to join our dynamic Transport Team. The successful applicant will be responsible for driving an assigned vehicle, responsible for the operation and use of the vehicle and associated equipment, maintaining the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the vehicle, and refuelling the vehicle.
We are looking for someone who can work independently and unsupervised while communicating effectively with our team, external companies, and the public. Customer care is paramount, so they must provide the highest level of service. They will need to follow written and verbal instructions and will be prepared to work outdoors in all types of weather and must be confident that they are able to stay within the WTD/Driving Hours rules and regulations and plan the day accordingly.
Every day, safety checks must be done to the vehicle and the equipment whilst following health and safety guidelines, safe working practices and undertake work in compliance with Manual Handling Regulations. Training will be provided only where relevant.
This can be a demanding role within the business. Standard working hours will be Monday to Friday although there will be a requirement to cover both early and late shifts if required. Hourly rate is £15.57 per hour. Overtime rate is paid at time and a half.
