Upholstery Sewing Machinist – Immediate Start
Talent Link Recruitment is currently hiring an experienced Upholstery Sewing Machinist to join a busy furniture manufacturing environment on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong industrial sewing experience who takes pride in producing high-quality work across upholstered furniture such as sofas and chairs.
Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm
Pay:
From £13.00 per hour
Overtime paid at time and a half
The Role:
You will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to assemble fabric, vinyl and leather components for upholstered furniture. The role involves working from patterns and production specifications, maintaining quality standards, and supporting a fast-paced production team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating industrial sewing machines, including flat-bed, overlock and twin-needle machines
Sewing fabric, vinyl and leather components for sofas, chairs and other upholstered furniture
Following patterns, specifications and production instructions
Checking finished work to ensure high quality and accuracy
Keeping your work area clean, tidy and organised
Supporting other areas of the factory when required
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as an industrial sewing machinist
Experience working with upholstery fabrics, vinyl or leather
Strong attention to detail and quality finish
Ability to work well in a fast-paced production environment
Reliable, organised and able to follow instructions
