Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials, primarily using a tipper lorry. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Duties
- Operate a Class 2 HGV tipper lorry to transport goods and materials to various locations.
- Conduct pre-journey safety inspections of the vehicle, including checks on tyres, brakes, lights, and fluid levels.
- Ensure the secure loading and unloading of materials, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Deliver goods in a timely manner whilst maintaining accurate delivery documentation.
- Assist with the manoeuvring and positioning of loads using flatbed or other specialised equipment as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle throughout shifts.
- Follow all road safety laws and company policies during transportation activities.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, ideally with delivery driver experience involving flatbed or tipper vehicles.
- Valid UK driving licence with appropriate HGV Class 2 (Category C) certification.
- Knowledge of road regulations and safety standards relevant to commercial driving.
- Experience operating flatbed trucks or similar vehicles is desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to handle physically demanding tasks associated with loading and unloading materials efficiently. This role requires a responsible individual committed to safety, punctuality, and delivering excellent service across each shift.
Pay: £130.00-£150.00 per day
