Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong background in early childhood education. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, fostering their development through play and structured activities. The Nursery Practitioner will work closely with parents, colleagues, and management to ensure the highest standards of care and education are met.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality childcare and education to children in the nursery setting.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
- Manage daily routines, ensuring that all children are cared for in a safe and supportive environment.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development.
- Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and encouraging teamwork among staff members.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's programme and contribute positively to the children's learning experiences.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential. either current orwilling to work toward one
- To be able to work within a small team effectively.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Ability to drive initiatives that promote a positive learning environment within the nursery.
- Must have a clear DBS check and two references.
