Tooltech are a precision engineering company, serving the aerospace, defence and power generation sectors with bespoke, one-off tooling solutions. As we continue to expand, we’re seeking a Trainee CNC Programmer/Operator to join our high-performing team.

As a trainee CNC Operator, full training will be provided to give you the skills to manufacture parts to a very high standard. You must be able to follow instructions and have an eye for detail and quality.
Responsibilities
- Program, set and operate CNC vertical milling machines using Heidenhain controls
- Work from detailed engineering drawings producing precision components
- Predominantly machining one-off and small batch parts
- Run CAM-generated programs with precision and efficiency, carrying out all relevant checking procedures
- Inspect and monitor machining processes to ensure quality and accuracy
- Ensure high quality standards are met through self inspection of work using precision measuring equipment
- Collaborate closely with our in-house design and CAM team to deliver custom tooling solutions and resolve any technical issues that may arise along the way
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
Experience
- Detail-oriented and capable of working to tight tolerances
- Self motivated, a strong communicator and a team player
- Takes Pride in their work
- Reliable and keen to learn new skills
- Familiar with aerospace or power generation sectors (preferred but not essential)

Working Hours & Benefits
- 38-hour flat week
- Monday–Thursday: 7:00am–3:30pm
- Friday: 7:00am–1:00pm
