Overview
We are seeking a full time Pharmacist to join the team in our Independent Community Pharmacy based in Lightwater. We operate in a local village and are a busy Pharmacy averaging around 12,000 items a month. We have an excellent team of dispensers and counter staff who have been with us for many years and are dedicated to serving the needs of the local community. This would be a full time role Monday to Saturday - with a degree of flexibility if needed. There is also a lot of support provided from the management team and someone would always be on hand to give support to the pharmacist and staff when needed.
Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide patient care by counselling patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Conduct medication administration reviews to ensure safety and efficacy for each patient.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient interactions in accordance with privacy regulations.
- Stay informed about new medications, therapies, and best practices in pharmacotherapy.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
- Offer new clinical services such as Pharmacy first, clinical pathways, EHC, contraception service and Blood pressure checks.
Qualifications
- Gphc registered Pharmacist
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to medication therapy.
- Proven ability to provide exceptional patient care with a focus on safety and effectiveness.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks.
