Our client is looking for Welders at their manufacturing site based outside Downpatrick.
Pay rate: £15.00 - £18.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 8.00am-5.00pm
Duties
- Read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Operate various welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and arc welders, to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and setting up materials prior to welding.
- Assemble metal parts using appropriate welding techniques, ensuring structural integrity and quality standards are met.
- Inspect completed welds for defects or inconsistencies, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Welder in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Certification in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or arc welding is highly desirable.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures related to welding operations.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce precise welds consistently.
