From the first impression to the final farewell, our mission is to leave guests feeling cared for, inspired, and connected.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Team Lead to be the driving force behind our Birmingham operation. This role goes beyond cleaning — you’ll be responsible for leading and supporting the housekeeping team, maintaining our Wynning standards, and ensuring every property is presented beautifully for every guest. You’ll be hands-on in the field while also taking ownership of team development, quality control, and day-to-day operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Property Presentation
- Clean and prepare guest spaces to a consistently high standard across Birmingham properties
- Stage properties to match listing photos — setting mood lighting, placing soft furnishings, and adjusting final details
- Start and end your day at our Birmingham storage unit, collecting and returning linens and supplies
- Travel between multiple Birmingham properties throughout the day to complete assigned tasks
Team Leadership & Support
- Act as the first point of contact for the Birmingham housekeeping team day-to-day
- Support, motivate, and guide team members to maintain morale and high performance
- Step in to cover cleans where needed, leading by example on standards and presentation
- Coordinate daily schedules and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time
Spot Checks & Quality Control
- Conduct regular spot checks across Birmingham properties to ensure Wynning standards are consistently met
- Identify any areas for improvement and provide prompt, constructive feedback to the relevant team member
- Document and report quality issues, damages, or maintenance concerns to management
- Ensure Breezeway logs are completed accurately and on time
Training & Onboarding
- Lead the onboarding of new housekeeping staff, ensuring they are set up for success from day one
- Deliver hands-on training across cleaning standards, property staging, linen management, and Breezeway use
- Support ongoing development of the team through coaching and feedback
- Contribute to building and refining training materials and SOPs
Stock & Operations
- Oversee Birmingham stock and linen management, ensuring supplies are well-maintained and replenished
- Perform inventory checks and flag missing items, damage, or supply needs to management
- Uphold health and safety protocols when using cleaning chemicals and equipment
What We’re Looking For
- Previous housekeeping experience, ideally in a serviced accommodation or hospitality environment
- Natural leadership skills with the confidence to guide and support a team
- A strong eye for detail and a genuine pride in delivering exceptional standards
- A passion for presentation and creating a great first impression for guests
- Organised, dependable, and calm under pressure
- Good communication skills and the ability to give constructive feedback
- Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (mileage contribution provided)
- Comfortable using apps and tools such as Breezeway (training provided)
Pay & Benefits
- £13.50 per hour
- Performance-based bonus structure tied to guest satisfaction and 5-star review feedback
- Stay free at any Wyndale property as part of our employee incentive scheme
- Mileage contribution for travel between properties
- Supportive team environment with genuine opportunities to grow
- Be part of a brand that values creativity, care, and going the extra mile
