We are seeking a proactive, customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our new lighting showroom. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing company as we open our second showroom, following the success of our flagship showroom in Notting Hill, London.
The role involves welcoming and assisting customers, answering phone enquiries, supporting the sales process, and helping to maintain the overall presentation and upkeep of the showroom. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a professional manner, strong organisational ability, and a genuine interest in interiors, lighting, or design.

Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with lighting enquiries, product information, and showroom guidance
- Provide excellent customer service to both retail and trade clients
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Support the sales team with day-to-day showroom operations
- Assist customers in selecting products suitable for their homes, projects, or design requirements
- Maintain the general upkeep, cleanliness, and presentation of the showroom
- Help ensure product displays, samples, and showroom areas are organised and well presented
- Build positive relationships with customers, interior designers, architects, contractors, and trade clients
- Support with basic sales administration, quotations, orders, and customer follow-ups where required
- Work closely with the wider team to support sales targets and deliver a high standard of service
- Learn about the company’s lighting products, services, and design-led approach
Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Friendly, professional, and confident when dealing with customers
- Strong customer service skills with a positive and helpful attitude
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to answer calls, handle enquiries, and follow up with customers effectively
- An interest in lighting, interiors, architecture, or design would be beneficial
- Previous experience in retail, showroom sales, customer service, or a similar environment would be advantageous

Pay: Up to £28,000.00 per year
