PCR Scientist / Validation and Quality Consultant - Wotton, UK (12 months project role)
How You`ll Add Value
We are looking for a PCR/Validation Scientist to support the Engineering and Quality team at our Wotton site. The main focus will be assisting with the setup and validation of a DNA/PCR laboratory, while providing hands-on experience in a regulated environment.
The role will report to the Director, C&I Research and Development with a dotted line to the C&I Quality & Regulatory Manager.

What You´ll Do
- Lead and support validation activities for the DNA/PCR laboratory setup (IQ/OQ/PQ as applicable)
- Develop and execute validation protocols and reports in line with QA and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Lab Operations, Engineering)
- Assess and validate additional laboratory equipment (e.g. Keyence systems)
Identify gaps and recommend improvements to ensure compliance and operational readiness

What You´ll Bring
- Proven experience in validation within a regulated laboratory or life sciences environment
- Strong understanding of QA standards and documentation practices
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment validation and setup
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- Ability to train others and transfer knowledge
- Strong communication skills, including English fluency
