We are looking for an experienced Freelance LED Wall Technician to join our live event production team on a project-by-project basis.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in LED display systems and and video harware and a passion for delivering high-quality live events.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and dismantle LED wall systems for live events.
- Build and align LED panels to ensure seamless image quality.
- Configure LED processors, sending cards, and receiving cards.
- Troubleshoot hardware and signal issues before and during live events.
- Perform pixel mapping, calibration, and system testing.
- Work alongside production managers and event crews.
- Maintain high standards of safety while working on-site.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and handling LED equipment when required.
- Provide technical support throughout rehearsals and live shows.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with LED wall systems in live event environments.
- Strong understanding of LED processing equipment (such as Novastar).
- Experience with signal distribution, video workflows, and live production environments.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues under pressure.
- Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.
Desirable
- Ability to work at height and safely handle production equipment.
- Full driving licence is desirable.
- Relevant health and safety certifications (such as PASMA, IPAF, or similar) are an advantage.
