Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Weekend Waiting Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences in a lively restaurant environment. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring our guests enjoy memorable dining occasions, providing attentive service and maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring prompt service
- Serve dishes and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness of the dining area throughout service
- Handle guest enquiries courteously, providing excellent guest services at all times
- Manage cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system
- Support team members during service to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or similar roles is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure during busy periods
- Good communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and bills accurately
- Experience with upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- Flexibility to work weekends, particularly Saturdays and Sundays, with availability during peak hours
