Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Bricklayers Labourer to support 2 Bricklayers on site. The successful candidate will assist with loading out plots, keeping the plot site tidy, handling materials, and supporting skilled tradespeople. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the masonry and construction industry, contributing to building high-quality structures in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist bricklayers with preparing materials and setting up work areas
- Mix mortar and carry bricks, blocks, and other building materials to designated locations
- Handle hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment by clearing debris and waste
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure working environment
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic masonry techniques
- Knowledge of bricklaying
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy construction environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physically fit with the ability to carry heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced tradespeople
- Must be able to drive
- Must have their cscs green Labourers card
- Wage negotiable based on experience
- Looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and has a good work ethic
