Job Overview
We are seeking a Pizza Cook to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious pizzas in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Prepare pizza dough, toppings, and sauces according to recipes and standards
- Cook pizzas to perfection using traditional or specialised cooking equipment
- Ensure all food preparation areas are kept clean, organised, and hygienic in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in the assembly of pizzas, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
- Maintain stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Support other kitchen staff as required during busy periods to ensure timely service
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen environments is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices within a culinary setting
- Experience in meal preparation and restaurant service is advantageous
- Strong understanding of culinary techniques, especially related to pizza making
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues seamlessly
