We are seeking an experienced conservatory sales designer to join our dynamic team in Thatcham, nr Newbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating customised designs relating to elegant extensions for modern living, engaging with clients to understand their needs, and providing expert advice to facilitate sales. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a passion for design and customer service, aiming to deliver exceptional solutions that enhance our clients' homes and lifestyles. The ideal applicant will possess strong organisational and communication skills, along with the ability to travel to appointments around Berkshire and surrounding areas including parts of Oxon, Hants, Bucks and Wiltshire.Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to assess their requirements and preferences for living space designs
- Develop detailed, customised design proposals using specialised software and manual sketches
- Present design options clearly and confidently, explaining features and benefits to clients
- Assist with show site management
- Maintain comprehensive records of client interactions, design specifications, and sales progress
- Organise appointments and manage a busy schedule effectively using excellent time management skills
Skills
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
- Proven experience in sales design, or related roles within the conservatory or home improvement industry
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quotations
- Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and optimise productivity
- Demonstrated upselling techniques that enhance customer experience without pressure
- Organised approach with attention to detail in design presentation and client records
