Primary Teaching Assistant
We’re working closely with a welcoming SEND primary school who are looking for a primary Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. This is a lovely opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys supporting children with additional needs and wants to make a real difference.
The role is based within a primary setting, supporting pupils with SEND, either 1:1 or in small groups. This school is inclusive, supportive and values patience, empathy and consistency above all else.
What You’ll be doing:
· Supporting pupils with SEND across the school day
· Helping children access learning in a way that works for them
· Working closely with the class teacher and other TA’s
· Creating a calm, encouraging environment where children can thrive
What We’re Looking for:
· Experience supporting children with SEND (school-based experience is ideal)
· A caring, reliable and proactive person
· Someone ready to start in September
· Reliability and a genuine commitment to forming meaningful relationships
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Minimum qualifications required – A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or a background in education or care (NVQ, CACHE, Degree or equivalent)
· Passionate working with young children or adults with disabilities

Pay Rate: £14.60 - £16.90 per hour
Working Hours
8.30am – 3.30pm
Monday – Friday

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Pay: £14.60-£16.90 per hour
