Pay Rate: £24.61 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
About the Role
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the team at the Ruby Ward, Whiteleaf Centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist with a background in Adult Mental Health services to contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive multidisciplinary environment. You will play an important role in supporting patients’ recovery, independence, and overall wellbeing through meaningful therapeutic interventions and assessments.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Deliver and maintain high-quality, meaningful care for patients within the ward environment.
- Conduct one-to-one occupational therapy assessments and contribute to group-based therapeutic activities where appropriate.
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings and participate in ward rounds to support collaborative care planning.
- Work independently within your professional responsibilities and contribute effectively to the wider clinical team.
- Support patient recovery and engagement through evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to positive patient outcomes.
Please note, this is not a supervisory role.
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Current HCPC registration
- A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Experience working within Adult Mental Health services
- Strong communication, assessment, and organisational skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Relevant professional qualifications
- Current registration with the appropriate professional body, where applicable
