Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG Production Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations, primarily using MIG techniques, to fabricate and assemble metal components. Duties
- Operate MIG welding equipment to join metal components with precision and consistency
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete fabrication tasks
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly
- Work with sheet metal, ensuring proper cutting, shaping, and fitting for assembly
- Conduct basic measurements and calculations using fundamental maths skills to ensure accuracy
- Assist with the fabrication of components through cutting, grinding, and assembly processes
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Good understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues during fabrication processes
- Experience with assembly processes is advantageous
- Relevant certifications or training in welding techniques are preferred but not essential
