With a passionate and growing membership base of over 24,000 we are seeking an exceptional Head of Events to lead our events programme into its next chapter.
You will have responsibility for delivering up to 10 major National Events and advising on over 1000 regional events annually, therefore, the role is demanding but also very rewarding.
The Role
Based at our HQ in Moreton in Marsh in the heart of the North Cotswolds, you will be reporting to the Club Executive Manager. The Head of Events holds strategic and operational ownership of the organisation's full events portfolio and is a senior leadership position responsible for crafting, developing, and delivering a premium calendar of events that reflects the values of the Porsche brand and the expectations of our discerning membership. You will lead a small in-house team alongside a national network of motivated and engaged volunteers, managing external suppliers, venues, and circuits, bringing creativity, commercial acumen, and flawless execution to everything you do.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and own the annual events strategy, aligning the programme with membership growth, retention, and engagement objectives
- Present event plans, budgets, and post-event reports to the senior leadership team and Board as required
- Lead, mentor, and develop the events team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with circuits, venues, suppliers, sponsors, and partner organisations
Events Delivery
- Oversee the full lifecycle of all events — from concept and planning through to delivery and post-event evaluation
- Lead delivery of the organisation's flagship events including rallies, concours d’elegance, social and networking programmes as well as track days and driver experience events
- Ensure all events meet the highest standards of safety, logistics, production, and member experience
- Manage health and safety compliance across all event types, working with circuit operators, insurers, and relevant authorities
- Negotiate and manage contracts with venues, hotels, circuits, caterers, logistics and production companies, and other key suppliers
Commercial & Financial Management
- Own the events budget, ensuring events are delivered on time and within financial parameters
- Identify and develop commercial opportunities including sponsorship, partner activations, and premium member experiences
- Monitor ticket sales, member registrations, and event revenues, taking corrective action where needed
Member Experience
- Act as the champion of the member experience across all events, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the premium nature of the organisation
- Gather and act on member feedback to continually evolve and improve the events offering
- Work closely with the membership, marketing, and communications teams to promote events effectively
Person Specification
Essential
- Proven track record at a senior level in events management, ideally within motorsport, automotive, luxury lifestyle, or a membership organisation
- Demonstrable experience delivering complex, multi-format events including track or motorsport events, national gatherings, and high-end social occasions
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience managing a team
- Excellent commercial awareness and budget management experience
- Outstanding organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Exceptional stakeholder and supplier management skills
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with the ability to operate effectively under pressure
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- A genuine passion for Porsche and/or the wider automotive enthusiast community
- Experience working within a membership, not-for-profit, or club environment
- Knowledge of motorsport regulations, circuit operations, and event safety frameworks
- Experience securing and managing event sponsorship
