Administrative Assistant
15 hours per week over 3 days – term time only plus 2 Inset days

We are looking to appoint an Administrative Assistant. This position is to work 15 hours over 3 days. The working hours are Mondays and Tuesdays 8.30 am to 1pm and Fridays 8.30 am to 2.30 pm. The successful candidate will work alongside our finance and administration team. The duties will include providing general administrative support, keeping clear records and communicating effectively with staff members, outside agencies and parents.
The position requires a flexible team player who is prepared to support the office staff, class teachers, parents and children. You will need to be well motivated, organised and be confident enough to use your own initiative when the need arises. In addition, you must have a high standard of written and oral communication skills.
You will be expected to uphold all the school’s policies and procedures, paying particular attention to maintaining the confidentiality needed when dealing with matters of safeguarding and the needs of our children.
Applicants must have:
- Evidence of relevant experience carrying out administrative work
- Relevant experience working with a range of computer programs (including Word and Excel)
- Have an understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) or show a willingness to develop this understanding
- Excellent communication and team work skills
- A minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (and show evidence of this)
- A positive attitude and a desire to work as a member of a fantastic and supportive team
