Overview
We are seeking a Gardener to join our team. Previous experience is not required although we are interested in hearing from applicants with an interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors and will require the use of hand and power tools and some heavy lifting so a good level of physical fitness is a must.
We’re looking for an immediate start if possible. Currently, we’re looking to cover a day a week, increasing to two or three as we head into summer.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and care for gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas through trimming, cutting, pruning and weeding.
- Operate hand tools to perform routine gardening tasks.
- Use power tools safely for tasks such as hedge trimming or grass cutting.
- Assist with landscape maintenance projects, including soil preparation and planting.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in gardening or horticulture is preferred.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and plant care practices.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems used in gardening.
- Growing experience with various plant species is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- A genuine interest in gardening.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in horticulture or landscape management are a plus but not essential.
- A full UK driving licence would also be desirable but not essential so long as there‘s an ability to meet us at our base.
Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
