Joiners Required – Sash & Case Window Refurbishment (2 Positions)
We are currently recruiting 2 experienced Joiners for a specialist Sash & Case Window Refurbishment project in Edinburgh.
This is an excellent opportunity for skilled tradespeople with proven experience in the refurbishment and repair of traditional timber sash and case windows. Due to the specialist nature of the work, applicants must have previous hands-on experience in this area.
Project Details:
- Location: Edinburgh
- Scope of Works: Refurbishment of 14 traditional sash and case windows within a single townhouse property.
- Decoration/painting will be completed by others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out an initial survey of all windows to assess the condition and identify the materials, counterweights, ironmongery, and replacement components required.
- Provide accurate information to ensure all necessary materials are available on site before works commence.
- Complete the refurbishment works immediately following the survey.
- Undertake repairs and refurbishment to a high standard while maintaining the integrity of the original windows.
- Work safely and efficiently, ensuring quality workmanship throughout the project.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sash and case window refurbishment is essential.
- Strong knowledge of traditional timber window construction and repair techniques.
- Ability to carry out accurate surveys and identify required materials and components.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- CSCS card preferred (if applicable).
- Own tools and transport are advantageous.
Site Information:
- Scaffolding is already in place to both the front and rear elevations.
- Internal access has also been provided, allowing works to be carried out efficiently.
