EBCF are recruiting for a health and social care tutor to join our team and help deliver courses up to level 2. As a health and social care tutor you will play a important role in delivering engaging face to face sessions with our learners.

- Lead l teaching sessions covering a range of health and social care topics
- Assess results from initial assessments to identify needs and academic status of learner.
- Manage the learner journey process; Initial Assessment, Induction, Baseline Assessment and summaries, set appropriate short/medium- and long-term goals, monitor progress and achievement of targets linked to goals, produce termly review of progress reports to show progression and outcomes.
- Undertake training as and when necessary for your job role.
- Prepare lessons efficiently to conduct them competently.
- Create material to enable interactive and engaging delivery.
- Create schemes of work and lesson plans according to the qualification specifications.
- Keep track of and maintain records of learner’s attendance, participation, and progress.

Essential Criteria
- Hold a recognised Assessor qualification such as the CAVA (Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement) or an equivalent assessing qualification.
- L3 (or above) Education and Training teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, PTTLS or equivalent)
- Ability to deliver Functional Skills English (entry level to level 2) and hold the qualifications to deliver Functional Skills maths (entry level to level 2)
- Prior Teaching Experience (2 years minimum)
- Based in the UK, with the Right to work in the UK.
- Available for face-to-face sessions at both venues as/when needed (B8 1LY / B18 4EJ)
- Candidate may need to deliver training at external venues ability to travel around Birmingham is essential.
