Senior Registered Building Inspector

A local authority in Staffordshire is seeking an experienced Class 2 Registered Building Inspector to join their Building Control team on an ongoing agency basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy local authority at a time when demand for experienced Building Control professionals remains exceptionally high across the sector.
Contract Details
- £60 per hour Umbrella
- 37 hours per week
- Rolling 3-month contract extensions
Key Responsibilities
- Assess applications for Building Regulation approval and undertake associated site inspections across the Partnership area.
- Ensure Building Control services are delivered efficiently and in accordance with statutory requirements, national performance standards, and local objectives.
- Manage major projects on behalf of partner organisations operating outside of the Partnership area.
- Act as the Building Authority and Licensing Authority in relation to safety matters concerning sports grounds.
- Fulfil statutory duties relating to dangerous structures and associated enforcement matters.
- Provide professional Building Control advice to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with current legislation and regulations.
Requirements
- Registered Building Inspector status (Class 2).
- Previous Local Authority Building Control experience.
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and associated legislation.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
