Operational Trainer

Salary: £30,000 per year
Contract Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Working Hours: 37.5 a week
Eleanor Healthcare Group have a new opportunity for an experienced Operational trainer to join our Training & Development Team. The Operational Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating high-quality Mandatory training and care-related training programs to health and social care staff. This role ensures that staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to deliver safe, compassionate, and effective care in line with current legislation, best practice, and organisational standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging training sessions on clinical and care practices including, but not limited to
· Medication administration
· Infection prevention and control
· Moving & Handling
· Basic Life Support & First Aid
· Safeguarding (adults and children)
· Personal care and dignity
· Support the induction of new staff and the ongoing development of existing team members.
· Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions using feedback, assessments, and performance data.
· Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements.
· Collaborate with care managers, nurses, and external agencies to identify training needs.
· Update training content in response to changes in legislation, policy, or best practices.
· Provide coaching and mentoring to individuals requiring additional support.
· Participate in audits, quality assurance, and regulatory inspection preparations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
· Recognised training qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent)
· Minimum 2 years of experience in a care setting
· Experience delivering training in a health and social care context
· Excellent knowledge of current CQC standards, Health & Safety, and safeguarding legislation
· Experience working with people with complex needs or in residential care settings
· Knowledge of e-learning and LMS platforms and blended learning techniques
Skills & Competencies:
· Strong presentation and facilitation skills
· Ability to adapt training to various learning styles and levels
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Confident in using IT systems (Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems)
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Commitment to continuous professional development and high-quality care delivery
Working Conditions:
· Travel to multiple sites may be required
· Occasional evening or weekend work to meet training needs
· Office-based and in-person care setting training delivery
