We are looking for a Front of House Team Member to join our growing team across both Cognito Café and Cognito Restaurant, based at The Pyewipe. This is a unique hybrid role offering the opportunity to work in our stylish daytime café as well as our contemporary Japanese restaurant and late-night cocktail bar.
As a business, we pride ourselves on serving completely fresh food, handcrafted cocktails, and providing outstanding service in a luxury yet welcoming environment.
Please note: Due to our location and shift patterns, a full driving licence and access to transport, or a reliable walkable commute, is essential.
This is a varied position that will involve both daytime and evening shifts. Flexibility is important, as you may be required to work morning café shifts and/or evening restaurant and bar shifts.
You will be responsible for creating memorable experiences for our guests while maintaining the highest standards of service and cleanliness.

Responsibilities
- Serving food, coffee, cocktails, and other beverages
- Providing exceptional customer service at all times
- Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Attending to customer requirements and resolving queries professionally
- Clearing and resetting tables
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout service
- Assisting with opening and closing procedures
- Working collaboratively with front-of-house and kitchen teams
- Upholding our high standards of presentation and hospitality

- Experience in a similar hospitality or customer facing role preferred
- A bubbly, charismatic, and professional personality
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Positive attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and busy periods
