Pineapple Recruitment is partnering with a well-established business to find a Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk for a fixed 3-month period to cover a maternity leave. Joining a busy and supportive team at their head office, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and prides themselves on accuracy.
The Role
As part of the core finance team, your daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Invoice Processing: Inputting and processing a high volume of supplier invoices using bespoke in-house programmes (full training will be provided).
- Reconciliations: Reconciling supplier statements to ensure complete accuracy.
- Communication: Liaising directly with suppliers via both telephone and email to resolve queries.
- Month-End Support: Completing month-end accounts payable procedures.
- Payment Runs: Preparing payment runs for final approval by the Financial Controller.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Handling other day-to-day administrative duties as requested by the Office Manager and Financial Controller.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience working within a purchase ledger or accounts payable role is highly preferable.
- Competent basic IT skills, specifically including Excel.
- Prior experience using Sage software is desirable, though not essential.
- An enthusiastic approach with excellent numerical skills and an eye for detail.
