Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our established workshop team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied fleet of modern commercial vehicles, including 8-wheel tippers, chain-lift skip wagons, hookloaders, and grab wagons, as well as carrying out some external HGV maintenance and repair work. No two days are the same, offering a varied and interesting workload.
We take pride in maintaining our fleet to a high standard and are looking for someone who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving, and keeping vehicles operating safely and efficiently.

Hours
Monday to Friday, typically 7:00am – 5:00pm
Occasional Saturday work may be required.
The Role
- Service, maintain, and repair HGVs to a high standard.
- Carry out inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
- Complete inspection reports and job records using company-provided tablets.
- Report vehicle defects and repair requirements to the Garage Manager.
- Help keep our fleet operating efficiently and minimise downtime.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic.
- City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Full UK driving licence essential.
- HGV licence advantageous but not essential.
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- A practical, can-do attitude and pride in your work.
