Job Purpose
The Business Development Associate supports Cascade’s commercial growth by generating, developing and converting new business opportunities across direct and intermediary channels. This is a revenue-carrying sales role. The successful candidate will be responsible for building pipeline, engaging prospective clients and introducers, booking and conducting meaningful business conversations, supporting proposals and illustrations, and progressing opportunities through to funded business.
Role Dimensions
The Business Development Associate will focus on new business generation, adviser and intermediary activation, direct client opportunities and structured pipeline development. This role requires high activity, resilience, strong organisation and a willingness to learn quickly. It is not a passive support role. It is a commercial role with clear expectations, coaching, commission and progression opportunity.
Role Responsibilities
New Business Development
· Identify and develop new business opportunities across IFAs, financial advisers, businesses, charities, solicitors, professional services firms and private clients.
· Make proactive outbound calls and contacts to generate meetings, qualify opportunities and progress prospects through the pipeline.
· Book and conduct meaningful business conversations that move opportunities forward.
· Support the development of proposals and illustrations that clearly communicate Cascade’s value proposition.
· Follow up consistently with prospects, introducers and clients to ensure opportunities are not lost through delay, inertia or lack of ownership.
· Build confidence in discussing cash savings, interest rates, FSCS protection, client outcomes and the administrative burden Cascade removes.
· Support the activation of registered but non-referring advisers and intermediary firms.
· Identify opportunities to increase AUM by engaging clients and partners with cash requiring active management.
Pipeline, Process and Reporting
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date Salesforce records for all calls, meetings, tasks, opportunities and client interactions.
· Ensure pipeline stages are realistic, current and supported by clear next actions.
· Work toward maintaining appropriate pipeline coverage against monthly target.
· Provide clear updates on activity, pipeline progression, expected revenue and blockers.
· Use sales activity data and feedback to improve conversion, meeting quality and personal performance.
· Ensure all business development activity is delivered in line with Cascade’s professional standards and regulatory environment.
Adviser and Intermediary Relationships
· Build professional relationships with IFAs, adviser firms, introducers and professional services contacts.
· Understand each adviser’s client base, cash management needs and current process for handling client cash.
· Position Cascade as a specialist partner that helps advisers improve client outcomes, evidence value and remove administrative burden.
· Support repeat engagement from advisers by maintaining regular, useful and professional contact.
· Represent Cascade with credibility, consistency and attention to detail in all external conversations.

· Some experience in sales, business development, client service, financial services, professional services, recruitment, estate agency, insurance, banking or another target-led commercial environment.

Desirable Experience
· Experience in B2B sales, financial services, wealth management, cash savings, banking, fintech, professional services or adviser-facing environments.
· Experience using Salesforce or another CRM.
· Experience booking and conducting commercial meetings.
· Understanding of FSCS protection, cash savings, fixed-term deposits, notice accounts or adviser-led client service.
· Experience working to revenue, activity or appointment-setting targets.
Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
