Accounts Payable Assistant
Finance Department | Full-time | Fixed-term (12 months)
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance Department. This role is key to ensuring the accurate processing of financial transactions and the timely payment of suppliers, examiners, and partners.
You will be part of a collaborative Accounts Payable team, supporting the delivery of efficient and accurate purchase ledger operations across the organisation.
About the role
As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing high volumes of transactions, and responding to queries from both internal and external stakeholders.
You will play a key role in ensuring payments are processed on time and in line with organisational policies, while contributing to continuous improvement within the Finance function.
Brief outline of duties

Process invoices, ensuring they are accurately recorded, scanned, and authorised

Manage weekly payment runs, including examiner fees and expenses

Process expenses for examiners and UK representatives

Respond to payment queries via phone and email, providing a high level of customer service

Maintain accurate records within the purchase ledger and examiner ledger

Process foreign currency payments and credit card claims

Produce monthly reports and support payment performance reporting

Assist with supplier statement reconciliations and resolving discrepancies

Maintain up-to-date documentation of finance procedures and systems

Provide support across the team, including cover for colleagues when required
