Jim Lawrence Traditional Ironworks are a family run manufacturing company based in Hadleigh, specialising in lighting and home interiors.
We are seeking a Production / Finishing Assistant to join our team, who will be responsible for supporting within our production departments.
The ideal candidate is someone who is keen to learn and adaptable to change, meeting the needs of the business.
We are keen to hear from candidates who have experience of working in a manufacturing and factory environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The goal is to complete a production process according to standard operating procedure.
- Able to work with team members, as well as on your own.
- Expected to work flexibly in different areas as directed by the senior lead and team leader.
- Take responsibility of your own and others safety, always adopting best practices and wearing appropriate PPE and raising near misses.
- Check the quality of own work and escalate any issues.
- Be personally accountable for completing day to day activities in accordance with training, skills and standards.
- Signals irregulating in operation of machinery and equipment.
- Escalation of any problems in completing day to day targets/work e.g. product quality and job training, adopting stop and fix approach.
Experience and Skills
- Works in accordance with procedures and rules.
- Confident to ask for help or clarity when required.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Team player, prepared to support their colleagues to ensure targets are met.
- Work in a clean and tidy manner.
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
Hours of Work
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
