Area Sales Manager (Midlands Region)
The Forklift Company Ltd is a family business totally committed to providing its customers with the best value forklifts available in the market. We offer New Samuk forklifts with most of our counterbalance machines being manufactured by our partner in the Hyster-Yale Maximal facility in China. We also have an ever-growing Hire Fleet and customer base.
Due to our significant growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a confident Area Sales Manager to join our team alongside our Sales Director and Managing Director. As an Area Sales Manager, you will oversee the hire and sale of forklift trucks, warehouse equipment, and services to new and existing customers within the Midlands area. You will work closely with marketing department, which generates leads, while also developing your own leads, managing your schedule and client meetings, and achieving or surpassing the monthly targets set by our Managing Director.
We are committed to the continuous development of our employees and seek someone who can apply their skills and knowledge. While training will be provided through a structured induction and training program, enthusiasm, dedication, proactivity, and attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Sell and Hire material handling equipment across the Midlands and surrounding areas.
- Visit customer sites to discuss requirements, provide quotes, and conduct site surveys.
- Cold call and distribute leaflets.
- Meet and exceed sales targets.
- Strategically focus on gaining and winning new business.
Requirements:
- A background in sales, hire/rental, or general financial understanding is preferred, but not required.
- Strong numerical skills are desirable.
- Driven, energetic professionals aiming for a long-term sales career.
- Full UK driving license required.
